The people behind the practice.

Meet the Team Behind the Law Office of Nancyrose Hernandez

We didn’t set out to build a typical law firm.

Every person on this team has experienced or witnessed firsthand what happens when a workplace stops feeling safe. That shared experience isn’t incidental to the work we do. It’s the reason we do it.

When you reach out to our office, you’re connecting with people who genuinely understand what you’re going through, not because they’ve read about it, but because they’ve lived it. We believe everyone deserves to work somewhere they feel respected, protected, and able to thrive. And we show up every day to help make that possible.

Employment Law Attorney

Nancyrose Hernandez

“Nobody deserves to drive to work in tears or shaking or unable to breathe. You should drive to work thriving and looking forward to what you’re going to be doing for the next eight hours.”

Nancyrose has spent over a decade representing employees in some of the most complex workplace disputes in California, including cases involving some of the largest corporations in the country. That experience gives her a deep understanding of how these cases are built and how employers defend them.

But what truly shapes the way she practices law is something that goes beyond legal strategy. Nancyrose has experienced a toxic workplace firsthand. She knows what it feels like to question whether speaking up is worth the risk, and she knows what it takes to move forward anyway. That perspective drives everything about how this firm operates.

As a business owner herself and someone who comes from a family of entrepreneurs, Nancyrose also understands the other side of the workplace. Her mission is to ensure employees have a strong advocate when they need one most, while helping employers build workplaces that are worth being proud of.

Paralegal

Jeanne Monte

“I knew I could do my job so much better with an ethical leader, and I knew Nancyrose and I could build something meaningful together.”

Jeanne has been with the firm since the very beginning. As one of its founding team members, she played an instrumental role in helping Nancyrose build the practice from the ground up and has spent the last eight years working closely with clients through some of the most difficult moments of their professional lives.

Before helping launch the firm, Jeanne worked as a legal assistant, paralegal, and office manager. That breadth of experience shapes the steady, compassionate approach she brings to every client relationship. She understands that employment law matters are rarely just legal problems. They’re deeply personal ones.

Jeanne believes everyone deserves a safe and healthy workplace. And she takes genuine pride in making sure every client feels supported, informed, and never alone in the process.

Legal Assistant and Client Liaison

Erin Harriman

“I enjoy working in employment law because I enjoy helping others. The majority of our day is spent working, so I feel it’s important that people are in a healthy and happy workplace.”

Erin is often the first voice clients hear when they reach out to our office. That first conversation matters enormously, and Erin understands that better than anyone. Many people who call are in the middle of one of the most stressful experiences of their professional lives. Her compassionate, attentive approach makes sure they feel heard from the very first hello.

Behind the scenes Erin plays a key role in keeping cases moving forward, coordinating communication, organizing documentation, and making sure clients stay informed and supported throughout the process. She believes everyone deserves to work in an environment where they feel respected, safe, and valued. And she brings that belief into every interaction she has with the people who trust this firm with their story.

Law Clerk

Ruby Hernandez

“I’ve learned how important it is for employees to use their voice when they know they aren’t being treated fairly in the workplace.”

Ruby’s passion for employment law has two origins. Growing up watching her mother Nancyrose advocate fiercely for employees planted the seed. Her own experiences in the workplace after graduating college deepened it in a way that only firsthand experience can.

Now as a Law Clerk at the firm, Ruby works closely on pre-litigation matters, helping transform clients’ experiences into detailed demand letters that clearly articulate their rights and the impact of what they endured. She brings a master’s degree in interdisciplinary studies, with a concentration in public administration, leadership, and education, to work that is as much about people as it is about law.

Ruby is known for her thoughtful communication and genuine care for the clients she works with. She believes that being heard and understood is the first step toward feeling empowered enough to speak up. And she makes sure every client feels exactly that.

Marketing Director

Sarah Dupree

“I want people to feel like, ‘Oh my gosh, this firm gets me,’ from the second they start interacting with us.”

Sarah brings a rare combination of corporate marketing experience and small business strategy to everything she does for the firm. With a background working with major brands including Yamaha, Boot Barn, and Saatchi & Saatchi, and years running her own boutique branding agency, she understands how to build something that feels both polished and genuinely personal.

At the Law Office of Nancyrose Hernandez, Sarah leads branding, content strategy, social media, website development, photography, video production, and community outreach. But the work is personal for her. Having experienced toxic workplace environments herself, she is deeply committed to the firm’s mission and to making sure that every person who finds Nancyrose online feels seen, heard, and supported before they ever make that first call.

Her vision is simple. That anyone navigating a difficult workplace situation finds this firm, recognizes themselves in what we share, and feels confident enough to reach out.

They gave me hope and strength when I felt defeated.”

What We Believe

We believe workplaces should be safe, fair, and genuinely supportive of the people who show up every day. We believe employees deserve to understand their rights and have someone in their corner when those rights are violated. And we believe employers who want to do right by their teams deserve guidance that helps them build something worth being proud of.

That belief shows up in how we answer the phone, how we listen in that first conversation, and how we show up for every client throughout the process.
